Dallas (Part 1)

My trip to Dallas last weekend with the sistas and our mama was a blast, to say the least. We took several hundred photos to document our time away from home.  So here we go...I tried to include all of the most memorable parts ;)
Just for the record, I was a nice sister and let big sis sit shot gun the whole trip there...well, until I locked her out during a pee break with about 45 minutes til arrival.

We took a little extra time on the way there to stop at this little gem we saw on the side of the road.

My mom and aunt had driven through earlier and tried their hand at this casino.  They both came out winners, so we couldn't pass up the chance to win it big so we could spend big over the weekend.  I wish I could say we won some money.  We all came out a little poorer than when we went in.  But they served great Bloody Mary's and we had a great time :)

It took us the longest time to figure out how to make change with this darn machine.  Guess you could say we're inexperienced gamblers.

Here's the sistas purchasing our dinner for the night. Some tasty drinks;)

After about an hour and a half of losing money we decided to get on the road again.  We made it to our destination safely around midnight and hit the sack asap.
We were up early the next morning, excited to do some shopping.  These were taken outside of my aunt's apartment door as we were waiting to get in the car.

My aunt wanted to take us to Canton Trade Days, or as she called it, a swap meet.  It was about an hour away, so we snapped a few photos in the car on the way.  Oh...we were so excited and energized at this point!

We stopped at an outlet mall on the way to the swap meet and made some fabulous purchases.  Someone thought we needed a picture with Mighty Mouse for the kiddos.  Gosh, we are DORKS.

After our big purchases at the outlet mall, we were famished.  We stopped at Subway and I have to add at least one of these very funny pics that Emmy took of us eating.  She wouldn't put the damn camera down while we were eating...we thought it was pretty funny at the time.

Once we made it to the swap meet, we were happy to see a nice cowboy waiting with a tractor pulling a trailer to give us a ride up to the sales.  Did I mention it was  in the afternoon and about 150 degrees outside ;)

There was quite a variety of items showcased at this place.  I think we each found a little something to take home with us.

Oh Kels, I know you love me!

See, you perked right up when I showed you this cute little hair dryer.  Too bad we couldn't fit it in the car to take back to the salon! ;)

So after a few hot hours of browsing, we went back to wait for tractor guy to give us a ride back to our car.
Unfortunately, it must have been his quittin time, because he never showed. We made the trek to the car on our hot, tired legs. But we made it!
We made it straight to a lovely little Mexican restraunt called Carolinas and had the waiter get our first group shot together.
We scooted on home, changed into our comfy clothes and headed out to the pool. We were pooped.

But not too pooped to hop in the hot tub :)
I'll spare myself and keep the majority of the hot tub photos to myself, but I'll end part one post with this one.

And this is only the ending to day one.  Day two was a doozey!

These Boys

These little squirts have kept us very busy lately.  With the weather being warmer, my  boys and I go on multiple walks or bike rides each day.  We just ventured up to the city pool for the first time yesterday.  I'm trying to steer clear of it because it's a lot more work with two kiddos now.  It seems Cruz is always napping or Bo is busy doing something else during prime swimming pool time.  So they've been content with the sprinkler or our little backyard pool for now.  Which is more than fine with me. Not to mention I've had the cough from Hell for the last, oh....month!  I'll think it's passed, then I'll have another coughing fit and my ribs will feel like I've been beaten in a back alley aferwards, and I'll be drained of energy.  What is going on?!? I've been on two antibiotics, an allergy pill, a cough suppresent, mucinex dm....I'm willing to try anything at this point!
Anyways, I feel pretty good when I'm not coughing, and like I said, the little stinkers have kept us busy.  Here are a few pics of memorial day weekend at my parents house.  Now that Landon and Sam aren't at the sitters everyday now, Bo talks about them constantly and tries to make excuses for why we need to go to their house or they need to come to ours.

Here's Bo and Sam wrestling with their Uncle Pete.

And Bo and Landon chasing him.
Bo's best buds.
Landon and Sammie...

Bo and Landon wrestling...I had my big zoom lens on so they didn't know they were being watched.

Kelly got his new tractor out of the shed to give the boys rides...it was so cute how Sam waited so patiently for his turn.

I didn't notice it then, but Bo was not being very nice about getting to ride first.
The babies hung out with their great grandma while Heath and Emmy shot baskets.  I'll refrain from sharing any of those photos, I want to live!
And here's one of shorty acting like a big shot on Bo's 4-wheeler.  So cute :)
Now I'm off to Dallas for a weekend with my best friends!

A Night at the Farm

This weekend my brother and cousin graduated from high school.  In celebration, we had a party at my aunt's farm.  Thursday evening we headed over to clean up the shed and help decorate.  The kiddos had a ball running wild.  My siblings and I did the same when we were their age, except then there were pigs, cows, horses, chickens and probably other animals that I'm not thinking of.
They had an exciting time exploring all the buildings.

There were still a few chickens out in the coop.  My dad was taking a peek at them with the kids here.

My brother Kyle helped keep track of the little crazies.

They found an old trailer to have races on...not the safest if you ask me.  The boys got hurt several times.

And I thought this was pretty darn funny.  There was a hotwire fence keeping the cows in.  We explained to the kids that it was dangerous and how to get under it safely.  Little Sammie bent down to go under the fence and walked crouched over for about 20 feet before his older sister had to grab his head and tell him it was okay to stand up again.  Funny kid.

Locking Our Cabinets

This little stinker is already throwing stuff out of the cabinets and creating huge messes.  We put locks on the cabinets when his older brother was in this stage, but they've since been broken or removed. So, time to lock up our cabinets again.  Maybe I'll get some that even Bo can't figure out, you know, to keep his sneaky butt out of the snacks!
