Tongue Action

This poor guy is teething. His first tooth broke through a couple of weeks ago.  On top of teething, he's been sick off and on for two weeks now.  We found out today that he has another double ear infection.  Looks like tubes are in his future :(
Actually, the picture above doesn't really depict his mood as of late, even while teething and having an ear infection.  He's always been an incredibly happy boy.  You look at him and he gives you a huge smile.  I can't wait to see more of his social personality as he grows older.  Anyways, the main symptom of Cruz teething has been the drooling and his tongue hanging half way out of his mouth at all times. It's pretty comical.  Either he has a really long tongue, or he's straining to get it out there that far.  I haven't gotten a picture of it while it's hanging at it's longest (sheesh, that sounds bad!), but here's a few of the little booger and his tongue action.

Gaga Turns 50

My mom turned the big 5-0 last week.  If you've met her in person, you would agree that she has the looks of a 39 year old, and the vigor and liveliness of a 25 year old.  All of this after birthing 6 children, ranging in age from 30 to 13.  Emmy is 30, I'm 28, Kelsey is 25, Kyle is 21, Ben is 18, and Pete is 13.  The three younger boys still live at home.  Which should say alot.  She has one more kid at home than I do at the moment.  I know there's a big age difference between my boys and the three at her house, but sheesh, this chick has been raising kids for quite awhile now.  For the last 30 years she has been putting her six babies before herself.  We love you for every moment of it mom.
In celebration of her birthday we went to dinner then out to a cowboy bar for some drinks and some dancin.
Carlos O' Kelly's didn't disappoint with their margaritas and their famous sombrero.
We all had to try on the lovely sombrero. Well, the ladies anyway.
Here we all are with our significant others.
After filling our bellies, it was off to Denim and Diamonds!  A few of mom's friends were turning 50 that weekend also, so they joined us.  Here are the three birthday boys and girls (before they got all wild).
This is my mom with her parents.
Mom with dad.
The birthday girls.
Mom and one of her best friends, Kate.
The ladies hit the dance floor to Kid Rock's version of Sweet Home Alabama.  My camera was not cooperating, so these pictures do not do their moves justice.  They had rhythm :)
We ended the night with some more photos. I put my camera away before things got too crazy.
Here's Kelsey, Emmy, Mom, and me.
Oh, our mama loves us :)
Until next year...:)

5 Years of Marriage

Kelly and I have been married for 5 years now.  It seems like yesterday that we were graduating from college, picking out house plans, and planning a wedding.  What a whirlwind year! Crazy how we had no idea that 2005 held so many huge decisions and accomplishments for us. While there are some things that we may have done a little different, we are so happy with where we are in our lives right now. I know that the next 5 years of marriage will be just as wonderful as the first 5.  I couldn't ask for a better man than him.  Love you honey!

Easter Weekend

Easter is the new Christmas around here.  It was a whirlwind weekend of traveling and visiting family.  Saturday we got up early and headed out west to Kelly's hometown.  Late that night we headed home so we could make it to early Mass the next morning, then to my mom and dad's and then to my grandparent's house. Whew! The weather was beautiful and the kids were completely tuckered out after playing so hard both days.  Here are some of my favorite pictures from the weekend.

Cruz was loving all the attention.

Kelly's brother is getting married in June so they had a shower for him Saturday afternoon.  This is Kelly with his sister and brother.
Sunday was filled with Easter egg hunts.
Sunday was also filled with family pictures.  And if you know me, I was taking lots of pictures, period.

And these two cuties....just adorable!

And here's a few from Friday.  Poor Cruz REALLY wanted to help color the eggs.
