Cruz Andrew

Cruz Andrew arrived August 20th weighing in at 7lbs 6ozs and 20 1/2 inches long. He didn't make it to the scheduled induction time, he had his own plan. Which was fine with his mama. I actually received a phone call from the hospital the evening before I was supposed to go in and get induced informing me that they may not have a room available for me in the morning. I was like "WHAT!?!" Nothing like a little added stress! So I went to bed late that evening and had been sleeping for about 45 minutes when Bo woke me with a wet bed. As I was changing his sheets I had a little bit of a sharp pain...nothing new. Well, when I went back to bed, I had a few bad contractions and realized they were for real. I waited it out at home for about 3 hours then decided we needed to head to the hospital to be closer to my much loved epidural. Cruz made his debut at 12:25. This experienced mama pushed him out in about 10 minutes versus the 2 plus hours it took to push Bo out :)
We've been doing great this past week and are glad we have another healthy, handsome boy at home!

40 Weeks

I'm officially due today! Too bad I've had all the symptoms of labor except for the real deal! I'm dialated 1-2 and 80% effaced. I guess all these darn Braxton Hicks contractions have been worth a little something. The plan is to be induced tomorrow morning if I don't go into labor myself today or this evening. I'm a little nervous, but I've talked to enough people that have been induced to feel more comfortable about it. I'm just very excited to meet this baby boy and bring him home! Wish us luck :)

One Baby Here, One to Come

My sister beat me to the finish line! That's okay, I'll give her this one. She delivered her first three kids late, so a day before her due date seems like a miracle :) She now has an even team with two girls and two boys.

Adorable Josie Nicole was born at 5:53 this morning weighing in at 8lbs 8ozs. Em was a champ and gave it one push and the girl was here! She always makes it look SO easy!! It was inspiring to be in the room with her. It really gives me the confidence to go in and deliver my baby.

Caution: Don't Read If You're Dieting

I didn't realize how much I like fruit pizza until this dessert disappeared from my fridge within hours yesterday. The majority of it being eaten my muah...:{

It is incredibly easy to make and I even got creative and made these mini "pizzas".

Note to self...the smaller ones are easier to eat...resulting in more consumption on my part...stick to the whole pizza next time? Probably.

Here's how to make them:
1 roll refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1 tub cool whip
3/4 stick (or brick or whatever you call them) cream cheese (room temp)
Approx. 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Fruit of your choice

Flour countertop and roll out sugar cookie dough. Cut small circles using round cookie cutter. Bake as package directs you. For frosting, mix cool whip, room temperature cream cheese, and powdered sugar until creamy. Add food coloring if you like. Once cookies cool, frost, and top with sliced fruit. I store these in the fridge...if they make it that far!

Should I just copy and paste last week's numbers update? Because there has been NO change. Ugh. I could be preggers for TWO more weeks! The doc said he most likely wouldn't induce until a week after my due date. I plan to do all I can to get this babe motivated to make his arrival sooner than later. Any suggestions :)


In the meantime...we'll all just try to continue waiting patiently.
